InnerPeace-8086 - Inner Peace 8086

The Inner Peace 8086 project is developing a text version of Inner Peace to run on recycled computers from the 1980's, using ELKS, the Embeddable Linux Kernel Subset.

Inner Peace 8086 will run on systems as minimal as 8086's with 640 k of memory, 10 meg hard drives, and monochrome monitors, which is a typical XT machine from 1983.

These Inner Peace computers will be placed in rehab centers, shelters, halfway houses, jails, prisons, and other locations where they can be put to far better uses than rotting in landfills.

Because these old computers have no market value, they are very suited to being placed in settings where it would be risky to place more valuable computers.
